NAIFA-Atlanta Announces The Atlanta chapter of the National Association of Insurance & Financial
Advisors (NAIFA-Atlanta) is pleased to announce that Mr. James H. Meaders, CLU is the 2011 recipient
of the organization’s Harry I. Davis Distinguished Service Award. This award is presented annually to a
person engaged in the Insurance and Financial Services business in recognition of outstanding services
rendered “above and beyond the call of duty” to NAIFA-Atlanta and the industry at large. Jim was
chosen to receive this honor by NAIFA-Atlanta’s Awards Committee and was presented with the award at
the NAIFA-Atlanta Professional Development event on March 25. Jim Meaders entered the financial services industry in 1973. Ten years later he founded his Atlanta-based company National Insurance Brokerage. Throughout Jim’s career, he has served in a number of positions within various industry organizations including as President of NAIFA-Atlanta; President of the Atlanta chapter of the Society of Financial Service Professionals; and Area Vice President for the Georgia chapter of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors. In addition, Jim is also a current member of the National Association of Independent Life Brokerage Agencies and the Association of Advanced Life Underwriting. He is also a qualifying member of Million Dollar Round Table, achieving Court of the Table status in 1990-1995. He was named to the Top of the Table in 1996-2009.
